Non-Judgemental Nature Pedagogy Immersion II - August 7th & 8th 2027
Non-Judgemental Nature Pedagogy Immersion II - August 7th & 8th 2027
Pedagogy Immersion II
This two-day immersion is designed for experienced outdoor and nature-based practitioners who want time and space to slow down, think deeply, and refine their pedagogy.
The weekend will be spent together in the woods, exploring non-judgemental approaches to practice through discussion, observation, shared reflection, and time outdoors. This is not a qualification or assessment-led course. There is no coursework, no pass or fail, and no requirement to produce written work.
This is a reflective space for experienced practitioners to dig into their own personal philosophies. Topics that may come up include:
Non-judgemental practice
Adult language and its impact
Power, consent, and autonomy
Inclusion and neurodiversity
Holding boundaries without control
Reflecting on practice alongside other experienced practitioners
There's also space for a practitioner surgery: bring a situation you've found challenging, or a question that's been sitting with you, and the group will explore it together, thinking through how a room of trusted, experienced practitioners would approach it.
This is intended as a shared experience, not a training to replicate or a model to export elsewhere. Much of the value lies in the conversations, relationships, and nuance that emerge across the weekend.
Dates
Saturday 7th–Sunday 8th August 2027. Saturday 9:30am to Sunday 2:30pm.
Pricing
£180 – choose this ticket if budgeting is rarely a concern when accessing training, or if an organisation is paying for this course on your behalf.
£150 – choose this ticket if this reflects a fair price for where you're at right now.
£120 – choose this ticket if budgeting or financial choices are often the barrier when it comes to accessing training.
Camping
Overnight camping is included as standard with your ticket. Please let us know when booking whether you'll be pitching a tent, or need one of our layby spaces outside the woods for a camper van or converted vehicle.
Food
Saturday lunch and Sunday lunch are both cooked communally as part of the weekend, so there'll be time built in to prep and eat together. Saturday dinner is sorted too, fish and chips ordered in from the local chip shop and delivered straight to the woods.
Travel
Camping's covered, but if you'd rather stay somewhere with a bed and a shower, a travel guide with nearby glamping, hotels and transport options is here: www.children-of-the-forest.com/immersion-week-accomodation
