Free to Learn: Home Education in Nature

At Children of the Forest, we believe children thrive through freedom, choice, and play in a nurturing outdoor environment. Established during the COVID-19 pandemic, our "Free to Learn" programme emerged from reflections on what truly matters for children's lifelong learning: curiosity, community, creativity, and a deep connection with nature.

What We Offer

Our unique Forest School sessions are designed for children aged 5-12 who are home-educated or attend school part-time. Set in our beautiful private woodland, our approach prioritises compassionate, child-led learning where mentors guide rather than dictate, nurturing each child's individual interests and passions.
