Become a Forest School Leader – Train With Us!

Do you share our love for the outdoors and dream of creating meaningful, compassionate, and inclusive learning experiences? We're Lewis and Wem, experienced Forest School leaders, passionate educators, hosts of The Forest School Podcast, and we'd love to help you become a confident, inspiring Forest School leader too.

With our Level 3 Forest School Leader Training, you'll learn hands-on practical skills such as woodland crafts, whittling, foraging, fire lighting, and plant identification, all in our beautiful Mid-Devon woodland. More than that, we'll show you how to facilitate genuinely child-led, playful learning environments that honour individual needs and interests, using methods we've refined through years of practice.

We intentionally keep our cohorts small (maximum 15 participants) to ensure you get personalised support, community connections, and the time and attention you deserve. Our participants range widely—from teachers, nursery workers, and special educators to botanists, artists, and nature enthusiasts. You'll gain knowledge from this diverse network as we grow and learn together.

Additionally, you'll benefit from ongoing mentorship throughout the course, receiving regular, personalised feedback to ensure you feel confident and supported every step of the way. We'll stay connected through Discord, email, and monthly training sessions to help you tackle coursework, practical challenges, and professional questions.

Course Dates:

• September 2025: Sundays 14th, 21st, and 28th

• March 2026: Sundays 1st, 8th, and 15th

• June 2026: Sundays 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th
